ACES Day- all children exercising simultaneously
Our ExerCYse club teams up with the Ames Elementary School District each year to participate in ACES Day. Project ACES was created by physical education teacher Len Saunders in 1989 as a method of motivating children to exercise and it has continued since then. It is held on the first Wednesday in May as part of National Physical Fitness and Sports Month along with National Physical Education Week. The media labels it as "the world's largest exercise class" but the kids just know it is fun!
The ExerCYse Team has made it extra special for Ames kids by inviting CY to come out to be active with the kids at recess. Please check our website for future ACES day plans! |
