Current EXERCySE leadership team

The ExerCYse program at ISU is fueled by a dynamic and energetic group of students that form the Student Leadership Committee. These individuals are responsible for coordinating the larger efforts of all the Ambassadors and are put in charge of one or more of the initiatives you see below. Students on the Leadership Committee earn academic credit through a service learning course (KIN 391 Service Learning Leadership Experience). To be eligible for one of these positions, you must be an active volunteer in ExerCYse related events. Attendance is recorded through Givepulse and your impact on each event will be noted. The Leadership Committee for 2016-17 is pictured to the right.

Cabinet members:
executives and chairs

Exec. members include the President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary. Chair member positions are marketing, fundraising, social chair, risk management, media relations, and newsletter.

Although these are our current positions, we work together as a collaborative team to make our events possible and fuel the Exercise is Medicine movement. We welcome anyone passionate about the EIM initiative to reach out and get involved.
There are many opportunities to gain leadership and teamwork experience through EIM. Some of these involve:
  • Coordinating and/or leading ExerCYse Time or other volunteering events
  • Planning fundraisers and philanthropy
  • Volunteering at community and campus events
  • Attending leadership team meetings
... and more!

Members of the cabinet spread the message of the Exercise is Medicine movement and want to help members of the ISU and Ames community (and beyond) live healthy, happy lives. This is done through volunteering, education, and other activities.
