VERB Summer Scorecard 2017

VERB Summer Scorecard is a community-based physical activity program that helps motivate youth to be active. The program retains the legacy of the original VERB campaign that helped kids across the country remember the mantra 'VERB - It's What you Do!".

Along with local partners, we work to provide opportunities and incentives for youth to be active every week throughout the summer. Kids receive a VERB ScoreCard and are able to get rewards by being active at home, by attending local VERB 'Fun Events' or by taking advantage of VERB 'Cool Deals'

Planning for the 2017 program is underway and details will follow. Consistent with past programs, we will launch VERB Summer Scorecard with a major day of play on the ISU campus. Details to follow.

By sponsoring the VERB Summer Scorecard program you are helping improve the health of youth throughout Story County. With your help, local youth can expand their physical activity opportunities as they discover new activities from bowling and ice-skating to dancing and rock climbing. This effort to promote physical activity is a positive step towards instilling lifelong, healthy behaviors in today’s youth.

Discount, Events, or Prize Sponsorship

  • Offer a special deal throughout the summer for Summer Scorecard participants. Some examples: A discount off your regular price or two for the price of one deals. This provides great incentives to kids and gets kids into your programs or store. We can help you think of promotions.
  • Host a special event, workshop or activity session This could include providing clinics for golf, tennis, soccer or any other activity that you can think of. It could include workshops or previews of instructional programs (e.g. fitness classes, dance workshops, rock climbing, disc golf). We’ll help you carry it out.
  • Offer a prize for us to include in our incentive package. This could be small prizes given to participants, big prizes that are raffled off at a drawing for the participants at our grand finale (e.g. a bicycle), or gifts/coupons that get passed out all participants when they complete a scorecard (e.g. a coupon for $2.00 off your product). We can provide visibility for your company.
